Below is a brief summary of the key rules for our competitions. It is important that you read the full SSFRA Guidelines for 2017 for the comprehensive detail for each competition. This is a SUMMARY only.

GPS (full by-laws here)

  1. Game Length - 1st Grade - 40min halves; 2nd Grade - 35min halves. 5min half time.

  2. Lost Time - Lost time allowed as per Law 7 (for injuries etc) for 1st and 2nd Grade.  

  3. Substitutions - Up to 6 interchange are allowed from 5 named substitutes.

  4. Red Cards - Players awarded a Red Card are ineligible to play or substitute in any other games that day.  

CAS (full by-laws here)

  1. Game Length - 1st Grade - 40min halves; 2nd Grade - 30min halves. 5min half time.

  2. Lost Time - Lost time allowed as per Law 7 (for injuries etc) for 1st Grade only.  

  3. Substitutions - Up to 6 interchange are allowed from 5 named substitutes. 

  4. Injuries - Be aware of the CAS Guidelines Regarding Injuries.

  5. Red Cards - Players awarded a Red Card are ineligible to play or substitute in any other games that day.  

ISA (full by-laws here)

  1. Game Length - 1st Grade - 40min halves; 2nd Grade - 30min halves. 5min half time.

  2. Lost Time - NO LOST TIME.   

  3. Substitutions - Unlimited interchange is allowed from 5 named substitutes.

CIS Schools Cup (1st Grade Only)

  1. Game Length - 40min halves pending the availability of daylight. If not, then two equal halves.

  2. Lost Time - Lost time allowed as per Law 7 (for injuries etc), pending the availability of daylight.  

  3. Substitutions - Up to 5 interchange are allowed from 5 named substitutes.

  4. Game Result - If a draw at full time, a penalty shoot out is required to determine a winner.

IGSSA

  1. Game Length - Generally 25min halves with 5 min half time; however games must finish on time and halves should be equally shortened to do so.

  2. Lost Time - NO LOST TIME.   

  3. Substitutions - Unlimited interchange.

All other Opens and Underage Games

  1. Game Length - Generally 25min halves with 5 min half time; however games must finish on time and halves should be equally shortened to do so.

  2. Lost Time - NO LOST TIME.   

  3. Substitutions - Unlimited interchange.
